Let's hear it for the Boys photo challenge

I met this little boy in a slum...here in my area of South Asia, they often sip chai (tea) from the saucer because it cools down faster. I feel in love with this little boy as he sipped his chai...I decided that he should be my iheartfaces.com entry for this round.

Bright! Photo challenge for iheartfaces.com

Here's my photo for the Bright and vivid photo challenge from http://www.iheartfaces.com/. I love the bright colors present in South Asia! I love this picture because her dark skin and the dark environment contrast with her bright dupatta (scarf) and eye liner. She's truly a beautiful girl...even though she lives in the slum...probably on less than a dollar a day.

From a Distance Photo Entry

Out in a village in South Asia, I saw this little girl walking towards us and thought, "Oh! Photo!" I love this photo because of the scrap granite laying on the side, the child's determination, and the tropic palm trees hanging out behind her!

I heart faces: Favorite face of 2010: Sweet beggar child

This is quite possibly my favorite picture I have taken in South Asia. It represents the poverty of South Asia, the dirtiness of the conditions they live in...but also the hope in the child's eyes. I am posting this as my entry for the iheartfaces.com's "Best faces of 2010" competition. Wish me luck. :)

Two great years in review

For the past two years, I have been in South Asia. And now I'm home. But I haven't shared all the fantastic pics from my trip. So now, I'm going to start a "two years in review." This will give me a chance to show off more pics from South Asia and give me a time to reflect on the fantastic times I had there. I hope you are blessed.
